About Dr. Ricci

Dr. Steven Ricci was born in Ohio and grew up in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He earned 2 Bachelor of Science degrees from Wake Forest University in 1992 before attending the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry where he earned hi Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1996. This degree was awarded with the distinction of Magna Cum Laude due to his high level of academic achievement. He was very active in the school and held many leadership positions such as president of Delta Sigma Delta dental fraternity, vice-president of the medical campus honor council for 2 years, and served as a student member of the dental school admissions committee. In his final year, he was awarded a partial scholarship as a recipient of the Edmond Theodore Glenn Award, and was one of a few select students invited to join the National Dental Honor Society known as Omicron Kappa Upsilon. After graduation, he decided to pursue advanced specialty training in orthodontics for an additional two years to University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry.

Dr. Ricci has practiced orthodontics in the Atlanta area since 1998, and is an active member of the Georgia Association of Orthodontists, the Georgia Dental Association, the Northern District Dental Society, the American Association of Orthodontists, and the American Dental Association. Dr Ricci pursued his dream of running his own practice and founded Ricci Orthodontics in June 2001.

Dr. Ricci and his wife, Kelly, reside in Cumming where they bought their first home in 2001. They look forward to a house full of children to keep their dog, and themselves, busy. While his first choice of recreation is virtually any sport, Dr. Ricci spends most of his time doing home improvement or landscaping activities around their new house. Steve and Kelly are enjoying establishing themselves in the community and try to volunteer as much as possible for several community organizations.

Ricci Orthodontics specializes in providing quality orthodontic care for both children and adults of all ages. Our services include the diagnosis and treatment of accruals disorders, monitoring, and if indicated, modifying growth and development in children, as well as many forms of prevention and patient education. We work in a partnership with other dentist and other dental specialists in the community to help ensure comprehensive care for all of our patients. We committed to being an enthusiastic team, excited about caring for our patients and promoting their lifelong dental health. Our patients’ emotional and physical well-being is our number one priority, and we will strive every day to make their orthodontic visits fun as well as safe and rewarding. We will always treat our patients and their parents with utmost respect and tact. We will be clear in our communications with patients and parents regarding treatment, finances, and education. We will continue to enhance our own personal development through continuing education ad team building to better serve our patients and community.
