DRUG TESTING

Used for relaxation and therapy, massage can increase blood and lymph flow and decrease edema, scar tissue, spasms, lactic acid and nerve activity.  Of the many types, trigger point therapy is the most effective treatment for pain relief.  Trigger points are focal spots of muscle spasm developed by prolonged toxicity via: trauma, visceral disease or emotional stress.

MOIST HEAT

This form of conduction energy is used for increasing blood flow, elasticity, enkephalin (analgesia) production and sweat (toxic waste).  Heat is ideal for the reduction of muscle tension and spasm.  It should be used after 72 hours of an injury or for chronic conditions.  Heat is not recommended with bleeding disorders, cancer, high fever or infections.

LONG AXIS TRACTION

Used to reduce nerve pressure, scar tissue and adhesions, muscle contractions and hydrostatic pressure inside the disc.

INTERSEGMENTAL TRACTION

Used to relieve fixations, strengthen ligaments and muscle, helps restore elasticity and stabilize the spine to help prevent recurrence of the condition.

ELECTRIC MUSCLE STIMULATION

Minimal therapeutic current releases 2 natural pain relievers: enkephalin and endorphin. 
EMS is used to treat acute, chronic or recurrent episodic pain.  It is also used for decreasing inflammation and spas.  It is not recommended for patients with cancer, fractures or pacemakers.

ULTRASOUND

Soundwaves are directed into the body to produce tissue healing (by the stimulation of tissue repair cells), micro-massage and the reduction of edema and inflammation.  It is a deep tissue therapy, which may be the only modality capable of effectively treating collagen tissue (ligaments, tendons and joint capsules).
