Until now, the longest warranty honored by any commercial roof coatings manufacturer in the US or any other country has traditionally been between seven and ten years. Apparently, that's because American Roof Coatings of North Carolina has been the ONLY company who's spent well in excess of the last decade experimenting with the use of titanium as the underlying base element for their ground breaking, premier commercial roof coating product line in an attempt to dominate the American commercial roofing market for the 21st century. It's been in excess of ten long years and for that entire period, test results have consistently indicated that the use of titanium as the base element ( obviously for it's strength properties ) combined with the durability of elastomeric copolymers is the key to manufacturing commercial roof coatings that will last 50 years. The most common question being asked of he company is "If you've only been testing your breakthrough product for only 10 years, how is it that you can assume a 50 year lifespan?" The answer to that is quite simple. There have existed many industry accepted methods of artificially accelerating the aging process of prototype materials in the laboratories and out in the field. These methods include prolonged exposure to solar radiation, unnatural exposure to heat conditions and also exaggerated flexibility tests in both the labs and the field. In the worst case, should their new product begin to fail within it's fifth decade of use, it will only fail intermittently in certain areas. The key is to keep an eye on all areas regularly and to let American Roof Coatings know if a problem appears to be presenting itself. |
