Who are we?

Mendy Dunigan Co-Owner and Creative Partner

Mendy’s creative energy and love of art was discovered at an early age. Her passion for the specialized field of luxury wall finishes began soon after attending the highly acclaimed Portfolio Center in Atlanta. In 1992, Mendy formed Dunigan Designs and spent 15 years building a successful career in home and office decorative painting. Her work has been showcased in a number of Tour of Homes and Street of Dreams throughout Atlanta. Mendy longed for a place to share her creative vision with others and teach them how to do it on their own. As a married mother of 3 she is able to balance family and career successfully.

Tara Jones Co-Owner and Managing Partner

Tara graduated from Boston University's School of Management with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. She has over 15 years of Retail Management experience with Fortune 500 companies. Tara’s experience in sales, marketing, operations, human resources and logistics, make for a great compliment to Mendy’s creativity. With her commitment to quality and inexhaustible enthusiasm, Tara is committed to helping Faux Maison clients get the personal attention and tools they need to bring beauty to their homes and offices.

Our Team:

Gordon Stevens: In-Field Faux Artist

Gordo (yes that is his self named nickname) is a self taught highly talented artist who comes from a family of artists such as blacksmiths, wood carvers, sculptors and painters. He has completed several painted works of art which are for sale and has worked on numerous murals with Mark Sundermeyer. Gordo’s eye for decorative painting particularly faux wood graining is something to behold. His level of talent as an artist is an asset to Faux Maison.

Jennifer Barnett: In-Field Faux Artist

Jennifer earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design from the University of Georgia’s School of Family Consumer Science. She worked in retail management as well as fashion merchandising for several years before her love of interiors brought her to the world of Faux. Jennifer worked for 5 years as a faux artist and consultant in kitchen remodels before joining our team at Faux Maison. We are true admirers of her work particularly her cabinet and trim finishes.

Jessie White: Interior Designer

Jessie has worked in the Atlanta area for 35 years in interior design and decorating. She graduated from Shorter College with a degree in Fine Arts and holds a technical degree in Interior Design. Jessie has owned her own decorating business: White and Reagan Interiors in Stone Mountain. After selling this business she became the Director of Design for The House Fine Furniture and went on to become the Sales Manager of Ethan Allen at North Point Mall. For the past 6 years Jessie was the Design Coordinator of American Home Showplace at Carpets of Dalton. We are very excited to have her on staff as she brings a touch of elegance and class to every project she works on. Jessie has the ability to orchestrate the entire room/home into one beautiful ensemble. Whether you are working on a powder room or redecorating an entire house Jessie can work with you and your budget.

The hourly rate for this service is:              $50

*When you hire us to do your in home faux finish we apply this fee toward your purchase.
