Republicans Win Record High Majority In House, Run-Offs To Determine Senate Majority
GDO Report
ATLANTA - There's no question that the GOP has secured enough votes today to take the House, but Gwinnett Daily Online reports that as of 5PM today, early indicators reflect a record high majority has been secured by Republicans.
GDO reports that early election indicators reflect an excess of 50+ seats will be gained by GOP in the House.
As for the Senate race - GDO forecasts that we'll all have to wait for the results from run offs to learn who the next term's majority will be.
However, once all runoffs have been completed and all winners have been determined, even if Democrats barely hold onto a Senate majority - they still have to contend with the high number of party defections that are expected in the near future. Some believe that's one of the things that President Obama plans to address at his 1:00PM EST press conference he's called for tomorrow.
As stated in previous stories, GDO has learned that Democrats are presently organizing a "Democrat Damage Control Patrol" in an attempt to minimize the number of members jumping ship.
