Labor Day Weekend Car Shopping
GDO Staff Report
Sure, there are other popular car shopping weekends throughout the year - but according to specialists at Fortune Magazine to J.D. Powers and Associates - Labor Day Weekend is the "Black Friday" of car shopping. This time of year brings out two distinct car buying types specifically - Gearheads and thrifty shoppers. The Gearheads want to be first to get their hands on the brand-new models and the thrifty ones are looking to take advantage of dealerships needing to dispose of last year's existing inventory to make way for the new year's more profitable models. No matter what the motivation is for car shoppers this Labor Day weekend - The most important thing for all parties to remember is that it's overwhelmingly a Buyer's Market. For reasons ranging from the incredibly high number of recalls in recent months to extremely poor recent economic times - Buyers are hard to come by and can write their own terms as long as they keep cool heads and stick to smart car purchasing plans.
