2003 - The Year In Review



A Look Back

GWINNETT - The year 2003 found America at war to protect the freedom attacked two years earlier. The country’s soldiers captured a tyrant dictator, heroically rescued a POW and bravely defended their country.
The year saw Georgia swear in its first Republican governor since Reconstruction, fly a new flag over its capitol and bury once and for all plans for the Northern Arc.
Closer to home, Gwinnett’s government adopted ordinances to combat second-hand smoke and unscrupulous massage parlors. Murder rates hit an all-time high and the Buford Wolves captured their third straight football championship. <-->
