Atlanta Contracting has been highly active in the home improvement market throughout greater Atlanta for 25 years.  They have thousands of homes who's owners have been very happy with the work they've done.  Their list of references is in the hundreds.  They currently run a half dozen highly specialized work crews - but have access to roughly a dozen more that have been factory trained by various manufacturers of building materials that are most commonly used throughout the SouthEast.

Painting can be done by Atlanta Contracting or by any other company you choose.  Many of our clients often have relationships with other painters or will sometimes paint their homes themselves.  Even others will shop around for the best price they can find.  Atlanta Contracting will be happy to paint your home, but painting is done under a completely separate contract. 

Atlanta Contracting's pricing on interior and exterior painting is very competitive with other painting contractors in the industry and is warranted for the period of time that the paint used specifies.  Sherwin Williams 25 Year "SuperPaint" offers a 25 year warranty and Atlanta Contracting will honor not only that paint's warranty period, but also their labor during that period of time.

PRICING

Here’s how it works….

1. The homeowner MUST be ready to replace their home's defective LP or Masonite siding with HardiPlank in May of this year to qualify for the 50% discount program.  If they’re not quite sure, simply let the folks at Atlanta Contracting know when you call and they’ll schedule your appointment for some time in June or later.

2. Atlanta Contracting uses three different highly specialized work crews, each factory trained by the manufacturers of the products being installed.  

     a. Crew #1 removes the defective siding from the first side of your home and makes repairs to any decayed sub-structure.  This offer excludes chimneys that require a total re-build.  Once finished, they move along to the next side of your home.

     b. Crew #2 immediately begins preparing the exposed side of your home by wrapping it with Tyvek house-wrap.  This crew installs the HardiPlank onto the fully prepared side of your home in complete compliance with James Hardie's installation Instruction specifications.  Once this side has been fully installed, they’ll move onto the next side of your home that's been fully prepared.

     c. While the installation crew is working on your home’s final side, crew #1 will move onto the next home on their list while a third crew, Crew #3, will begin cleanup of your property.  They’ll gather and haul off your old, defective siding while caulking and preparing your home's new siding for painting.

Final payment is not required until the homeowner is completely satisfied with all of the work that's been performed by Atlanta Contracting.  During the initial contract signing, the homeowner will be given a list of all work that is to be performed by Atlanta Contracting, with each item listed on a separate line item with its associated cost.  Both parties will sign the contract and a deposit is required from the homeowner once the materials have been delivered.  This deposit is usually 50% of the project's total cost and usually amounts to about two thirds of the value of the building materials that are being delivered.

Before each job is complete, the homeowner will submit a preliminary "knock out list" to the Atlanta Contracting Project Manager, which is actually the original list of tasks to be completed - along with space for the homeowner to input their comments and expectations.  These are all documents provided within the original contract. 

Both parties are expected to list on this document all their expectations, comments and any other valuable input to help the project along and become finalized.  It is also helpful in closing out the project once both parties are satisfied that all items on the list have been completed to everyone's complete satisfaction and everyone has signed off.

Any possible deficiencies will be fully addressed before final payment is requested by Atlanta Contracting. 

Final payment is due from the homeowner once both parties agree that the work has been done to everyone's complete satisfaction.  Once final payment has been made in full, the homeowner will be issued a James Hardie 50 Year Warranty Certificate along with a "Paid in Full" invoice from Atlanta Contracting which contains their 50 year labor warranty guarantee.

PRICING EXAMPLE

Pricing is the best part of Atlanta Contracting's "Half Price HardiPlank" May discount offer.  Their 50% discount applies not only to their regular low pricing, but also to quotes from other James Hardie authorized installation contractors.

Most HardiPlank contractors charge approximately $400 to $550 per “Square” or $4.00 to $5.50 per square foot, including “almost” everything.  The house in the above example is 2 stories tall and 60’ wide by 30’ deep.  That places their external square surface dimensions, or "Squares," at around 3,900 square feet or 39 squares.

Going by typical HardiPlank contractor's pricing per "Square" or per "Square Foot" without painting, a house that measures approximately 38 squares typically costs the homeowner $15,600 to $21,450 plus “extras.”  This pricing typically does not include painting.

Atlanta Contracting's typical pricing to replace the above example home’s defective siding with genuine HardiPlank lapsiding usually comes in close to the lower end of the average authorized HardiPlank contractors price.  Atlanta Contracting's usual pricing typically comes in at approximately $15,000 to $16,000 - whcih includes all work to be completed with everything included except painting.

The ONLY exception to this example is if your chimney has a great deal of decay and is in need of a total re-build.  Atlanta Contracting will provide homeowners with a completely seperate quote for chimnies that have a great deal of rot and require a serious rebuild.

If you would like to get some idea for what our cost will be for your home, simply measure your home's length by it's width and then figure out how many stories it is.  Naturally, specialty items such as gables and chimnies will require additional work and we can only provide you with an estimate upon inspection.
