As a murder mystery, the death of immigration reform is a tale with many suspects.

There were Republicans who wanted it killed because they thought it gave amnesty to illegal immigrants. Some Democrats didn't like it much because it threatened to push down workers' wages. In the end, the compromise immigration reform bill that tried to please everyone might not have been capable of surviving.

The other four are Peru's Machu Picchu, the mountain settlement that symbolizes the Inca empire, Mexico's Mayan ruins at Chichen Itza, the Colosseum in Rome and the Taj Mahal in India.

New declassifiend report: Hundreds of weapons of mass distruction discovered in Iraq since 2003

The U.S. has located some 500 chemical weapons in Iraq since 2003 with more likely to be found, according to two Republican members of Congress trumpeting a newly declassified portion of a government report.

"We have found weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, chemical weapons," Sen. Rick Santorum, R-Pa., said at an afternoon news conference.

President George W. Bush approved Dubai's $1.24 billion takeover of Doncasters, a British engineering company with U.S. plants that supply the     Pentagon, the White House said on Friday.

The decision, announced by White House spokesman Scott McClellan, followed a congressional uproar over security fears that scuttled another Dubai state-owned company's plan to acquire operations at major U.S. ports.

Russia threatens to aim for US missiles in Poland and Czech Republic with nuke rockets

MOSCOW, RUSSIA - Russian nuclear rockets will target Poland and the Czech Republic, if those countries allow the deployment of the controversial US missile defense in their land, Russia's Ambassador to NATO Dmitri Rogosin told the weekly Der Spiegel news magazine in a report to be published on Sunday.

The Russian official branded American plans for stationing the anti-missile system in Poland and the Czech Republic as an "unfriendly act."
